🔬 Scientific Description

This specimen features a delicate layer of bright blue chrysocolla and shattuckite over a drusy quartz base. The banded structure shows a smooth transition from deep ocean-blue to pale sky-blue hues, created through secondary copper mineralization in silica-rich veins.

The quartz microcrystals formed later, lining the cavity and enhancing the specimen’s reflective luster. Such fine banding and contrast are characteristic of Namibian oxidation zone deposits where chrysocolla and shattuckite coexist within quartz hosts.
